Dr. Ryan Rasner

Dr. Ryan Rasner holds a PhD in interpersonal communication with a concentration in relationship development. A Casper native, he previously served as an Instructor of Public Speaking and Interpersonal Communication at Louisiana State University and managed the Matchbox Interaction Laboratory.

Today he leads the Marriage & Family Leadership Collective, where his work centers on seven core pillars: Premarital Readiness, Marriage Health Assessments, Marriage Coaching & Relationship Strategy, Individual Success & Leadership Development, Men’s Mental Health Support, Abuse Intervention & Relationship Safety, and Podcast, Media & Public Education. Drawing on evidence-based approaches (including Gottman principles), he provides one-on-one coaching, marriage health assessments, interactive workshops, and practical tools such as The Honest Path workbook series—helping individuals, couples, and families build stronger connections and reduce Wyoming’s elevated divorce rates.

Beyond his clinical and coaching focus, Dr. Rasner is deeply rooted in the community. He is a proud member of the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce, serves on the board of the Natrona Collective Health Trust, and is a board member for the Salvation Army. He is also the driving force behind Beard the Change, the Collective’s Expo & Gala that raises awareness and funds for men’s mental health initiatives while fostering community support and open conversation about strength, vulnerability, and well-being.

His work blends rigorous academic research with a grounded, practical commitment to Wyoming families. His programs equip men to become better husbands and fathers, helping couples build lasting marriages, and contributing to stronger homes and communities across the state.

The Collective Origin

The Marriage & Family Leadership Collective was born from a simple yet profound realization: the strength of a community is inextricably linked to the health of its most fundamental unit, the family. What began as a local effort in Casper to support couples has evolved into a structured collective dedicated to elevating leadership within the home.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by men and families today, we shifted our focus toward clear, structured pillars. We prioritize marriage longevity, men's intentional leadership, and family stability. This narrative driven approach ensures that every workshop and coaching session contributes to a larger vision of generational health.
